Qing continues the system from the Ming Dynasty. In the Shunzhi and Kangxi years, Card is a parallel-flowing document between departments. According to The Rules and Systems in Guangxu Era (光緒會典事例), "provincial officials usually use Resume Cards upon first meeting their General Commanders or Regional Commanders; provincial officials would use Title Cards with their General Commanders or Regional Commanders if they meet often." Therefore, Card is also a name card that lower-level officials use to meet upper-level officials.

On the lunar October of 1639, the Lord of Gongshun for gifting horses: "By the grace of the Emperor, I was able to purchase new horses. Since I do not dare riding it myself, I picked 12 horses to gift to the Emperor. This memorial goes first to the house of secretaries. Please check and transfer to the one owning the hand copy."
